Art Gallery

A collection of watercolour paintings created by local Namibian artists, portray the beauty of the surrounding landscapes and the wildlife that reside there. The artworks are displayed within the dining area and all items are for sale.

PORTFOLIOS OF ARTISTS:

Conni Downing is one of Namibia’s most renowned artists. Her watercolour paintings can be found not only in Namibia but in private collections worldwide. Born in Germany, she emigrated to Namibia, completed her schooling in Otjiwarongo and qualified as a teacher in South Africa. Now retired, her first love remains her art. This remarkable artist projects her love for the Namib desert and nature in all its constantly changing moods, in a kaleidoscope of colours, preferring the early morning and evening scenes. She has participated in 25 group exhibitions and 12 solo exhibitions.

Nadine Downing, daughter of Conni, completed her schooling in Swakopmund and studied Textile Design in Cape Town. After her studies, she followed in the footsteps of her parents and held her first solo exhibition in 1994. She established the RAW TALENT art school in 2006 and teaches art to all ages. When she is not working for an exhibition, she works on challenging art projects, paints murals and interiors and assists people in developing their art skills. Nadine has participated in 20 group exhibitions and 5 solo exhibitions.
